Cover art, thanks to Amazon.ca. A good thing for Irish actors!

Striking image indeed.

Below is a link to an article analysing Loving Vincent's box office and awards performance to date.

http://variety.com/2017/film/global/loving-vincent-passes-20-million-worldwide-box-office-1202635407/

Loving Vincent's probably got a pretty decent chance at an Oscar nomination for best animated feature.

Maybe the first time that Saoirse's had anything to do with Loving Vincent since April 2015. (?)

She might as well get use to the time commitment MM because I suspect Saoirse will be doing a lot of academy stuff over the course of her career.

Based on her interview at SBIFF, Saoirse seems to be very much looking forward to the release of MQOS later this year.  I guess there's potential for it to gather momentum like Lady Bird did this season.  But will she promote OCB when it's released in June or The Seagull when it's finally released?  Or will she disappear from the public eye from March till November?

MM, I think it's common for an actor's contract for working on a movie to include promotional duties as part and parcel of the deal. Though of course I might well be wrong.
“You need to do what’s right for you and what your instinct is telling you to do, because only then, I think, you can be the best version of yourself.” - Saoirse

I was being a tad facetious but I certainly hope that Saoirse turns out for these two films in May/June rather than going to ground.

As long as they don't clash with Glastonbury!

It was a shame that Saoirse couldn't be involved in promoting Loving Vincent but she was flat out on MQOS and then Lady Bird.  It's worth checking the following two links on Dorota Kobiela's Instagram page.  The certificate that Saoirse was photographed with at the Oscar nominee's luncheon was in fact Dorota's certificate but she couldn't attend herself.

dorota_kobiela I couldn’t come to the @academy_awards_oscars nominee lunch but here is #saoirseronan with my certificate with my fellow @lovingvincentmovie nominee @hughwelchman @ivanmacx #Oscarslunch #oscarluncheon2018

This was one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. That's the main draw. I suppose the story is okay and it held my interest, although the dialogue and voice acting (aside from the subject of our forum) were mostly pretty lacking. But I'd still unequivocally recommend it just as a visual feast.

The DVD of Loving Vincent was recently released here down under.  You can notice a few things that maybe you didn't in the cinema.  One example is the scene based on "Wheat Field with Crows" where the animators have used blue edging around Marguerite's hair, face and shoulders to pick out the blue in Saoirse's eyes.  The image file attached below shows it well if you click on it to expand.  It's a little bit inspired.
