Learn more about “The Grand Budapest Hotel”

The specialty label Fox Searchlight has acquired the rights to distribute worldwide writer-director Wes Anderson’s latest film, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. The movie, which just wrapped production in Germany, is described as a story about “a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protege.” Saoirse’s character is still unknown, but here’s what the article published by The Hollywood Reporter reveals about the film:

The plot focuses on “the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century.” A late-2013 or early-2014 release is being eyed.
