Saoirse Ronan and “Lady Bird” win at NYFCC

Saoirse won Best Actress at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards today, and “Lady Bird” picked up Best Film! Congratulations to the cast and crew, that’s such a big achievement. This is the 2nd time Saoirse wins Best Actress at the NYFCC, the 1st was a couple of years ago for “Brooklyn”.

Saoirse wins Best Actress at NYFCC

Members of the New York Film Critics Circle are voting on year-end superlatives this morning, and Saoirse has just been announced by Variety as their choice for Best Actress. Congratulations, Saoirse!

Best Actress: Saoirse Ronan (“Brooklyn”)
The best actress Oscar race is Ronan vs. Brie Larson by anyone’s gauge at this point, and this is some major wind in the former’s sails.
