Film4 released a 10 minute conversation with Saoirse and Greta, in which they discuss the process of making ‘Lady Bird’. Watch it below:
Great news! It was announced just yesterday by Playbill that “The Seagull” will be released in May, but with no exact date yet. Read their report below:
The screen adaptation of Chekhov’s The Seagull, directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on a date to be announced in May. The film stars Annette Bening, Saoirse Ronan, Elisabeth Moss, and Corey Stoll.
The movie, which was filmed in 2015 in New York, features a script by Stephen Karam, who won a Tony for his play The Humans. The playwright also adapted another Chekhov play, The Cherry Orchard, which played Broadway in 2016.
Ronan and Bening take on the central roles of aspiring actor Nina and the fading Arkadina, with Tony nominee and Emmy winner Moss as Masha, Stoll as Trigorin, Mare Winningham as Polina, and Brian Dennehy as Sorin as well as Jon Tenney, Michael Zegen, Glenn Fleshler, and Billy Howle.
The film, which is produced by Jay Franke, David Herro, Robert Salerno, Tom Hulce, and Leslie Urdang, features costumes by Oscar winner Ann Roth.
It has been reported that Max Richter is going to be responsible to score the upcoming historical drama ‘Mary Queen of Scots’!
The film is going to be released by Focus Features on November 2nd 2018, under direction of Josie Rourke and starring Oscar-nominated actresses Saoirse Ronan (Mary Stuart) and Margot Robbie (Queen Elizabeth I). David Tennant, Jack Lowden, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Brendan Coyle and Eileen O’Higgins are also listed among co-stars names.
Richter’s recent projects include Scott Cooper’s western Hostiles, which is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
Earlier this week Sony Classics released a brand new still from ‘The Seagull’, where you can see Saoirse as Nina and Corey Stoll as Trigorin. There’s no confirmed release date for the movie yet but it’s expected to be out this year!
