Our gallery has been updated with production images from ‘Death Defying Acts’. The film starred Catherine Zeta-Jones, Guy Pearce, Timothy Spall and Saoirse, and it was released back in 2007. Saoirse has received a nomination for Best British/Irish Actress at the London Film Awards! After complaints that the category referred to Saoirse, Colin Farrell and Michael Fassbender as ‘British’ actors, the London Film Critics Circle changed the names of the categories in which they were nominated to include the word ‘Irish’, which is why they are different from the past years.

Actress of the Year
Cate Blanchett, “Carol”
Brie Larson, “Room”
Rooney Mara, “Carol”
Charlotte Rampling, “45 Years”
Saoirse Ronan, “Brooklyn”

British/Irish Film of the Year
“Amy”
“Brooklyn”
“45 Years”
“The Lobster”
“London Road”

Saoirse has also been nominated as Best Actress by the Austin Film Critics Association, the Vancouver Film Critics Circle and the Kansas City Film Critics.
